A 2017 Chicago Ideas Membership may not be for everyone, but we know it’ll be the perfect gift for at least one person in your life. There are dozens of reasons to be a Chicago Ideas Member, from supporting a nonprofit that’s making a difference in the community to attending exclusive experiences.

Here are three types of friends we think would appreciate a Chicago Ideas Membership this holiday season.

1. The Entrepreneur Friend
Chicago is a burgeoning hub for entrepreneurs in every field. We all have that ambitious friend who’s got big ideas and is all about making things happen. The Chicago Ideas community of curiosity is filled with similar people in every industry who are excited to connect with others at one of our dozens of year-round Member events. Members have found new jobs, new volunteer opportunities and even started new businesses as a result of people they met through Chicago Ideas events.

2. The Activist Friend
If you have a friend who is hungry for ways to make a difference after the 2016 election, a Chicago Ideas Membership will help them discover new socially impactful ideas—whether it’s meeting one of our social innovation fellows at a Member Breakfast event or attending one of our CIW YOU(th) networking events, they’ll feel like they’re a part of something bigger than themselves that’s truly helping the community.

3. The Friend Who’s Always Posting Articles on Facebook
We love the intellectually curious! And they’ll love our first Member event of the year during which they’ll get to put all that reading to work at a Chicago Ideas Week brainstorm session with our Director of Programming. Warning: They’ll probably start posting even more interesting articles and videos after their first event.

Memberships start at only $45, but they have the potential to change the way a person views the world. Click here to find more information and details on becoming a Chicago Ideas Member.
