It’s Spring!—and unlike yesterday, it even feels like it—and we’re ready to stroll down the streets of Chicago, sipping iced coffees and hopping into the cute independent boutiques and flower shops our city has to offer.  We’ve put a list of our favorite spring-forward stores.  And who knows?  Maybe you’ll run into one of us at these stores; we’ll be the shoppers wearing yellow.

P.O.S.H.

P.O.S.H. is one of the most inviting stores on State Street.

Posh is filled with flea market goodies, but the best part is what’s outdoors: A beautiful courtyard that we’ve missed this long Chicago winter.

Brimfield 
5219 North Clark St.
This Andersonville store is filled to the brim (see what we did there?) with housewares and home decor.

Art Effect
934 West Armitage Ave.
From scented candles to clothing, jewelry to Chicago-inspired knick-knacks, this Lincoln Park store has everything you could ever want.

Inkling

Come here for prints by local artists, unique greeting cards and unique earrings.

Wolfbait

Stop at New Wave Coffee, the quintessential “Logan Square Haunt,” and then head over to Wolfbait for some locally-made merchandise.

There’s a reason it’s called Rudy’s roundup.

Paper Doll

This store lives up to its name.  In addition to jewelry and knick-knacks, it does stock paper and dolls—although we’re not sure it has any paper dolls.

Una Mae’s
1528 North Milwaukee Ave.
Once a solely vintage store, Una Mae’s now doubles as a thrift shop and a boutique with unique, one-of-a-kind clothing.

Stitch

Stitch sells goods big and small, from cute purses to stylish sofas.

Sir & Madame
938 North Damen Ave.
Sir & Madame is one of those shops you can go into just to “look”—and end up leaving with a new pair of sunglasses, a cross-body bag and a blouse.
