Ernst & Young and Chicago Ideas Week: A Winning Combination

Cross-posted from Ernst & Young:

Last month we announced Ernst & Young‘s sponsorship of Chicago Ideas Week one of the most anticipated and innovative events in Chicago. The weeklong event starts on October 8 and will attract the world’s best thinkers and creators for the purpose of sharing their stories and inspiring local professionals to turn big ideas into actionable results.

To launch our sponsorship, Ernst & Young hosted an internal kickoff session attended by nearly 100 employees and partners on July 24 at the Chicago office. Chicago Office Managing Partner Kelly Grier opened the program by highlighting how ourconnection to Chicago Ideas Week offers a powerful platform to brand Ernst & Young‘s undisputed leadership in supporting growth, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Another highlight of the kickoff session was Kelly’s interview with Brad Keywell, Chicago Ideas Week Founder and Chairman. Brad, a successful serial entrepreneur, explained that his goal in creating Chicago Ideas Week was to host a “globally relevant conference” that builds connectivity among entrepreneurs, civic leaders, investors and supporters. With more than 200 speakers and 100 behind-the-scenes experiences scheduled, the lessons learned and ideas shared “will blow you away,” said Brad.

Stay tuned for details on how you can register for tickets to Ernst & Young‘s hosted Talk during Chicago Ideas Week titled: “Work: No Longer Business as Usual.” Current speakers confirmed for our Talk include Timothy Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Workweek, and Ariel Seidman, CEO of Gigwalk, a company that connects businesses and freelancers to get work done. We expect to add more big names to our Talk who will address how technology and other trends are reshaping the workplace. So mark your calendar for October 11 at 4:00 p.m.
