Applaud masters of air guitar, embrace underground artists or witness the rebirth of public spaces – where will you think out loud this weekend?
1.      Shred some air at the U.S. Air Guitar Midwest Semifinals.
Want to see air guitar rock stars in the making? Then head over to the Metro, the first stage in Chicago to embrace a U.S. Air Guitar competition. Competitors will first work their “airness” and stage presence performing a song of their choice in Round 1. Those who proceed to Round 2 will test their skills by jamming out to a surprise song of the judges’ choice. Don’t miss the special performances by World Guitar champions Hot Lixx Hulahan (2012) and Nordic Thunder (2008).

Stop by Woodlawn on Saturday to see the work of winners Meghan Funk and Kevin Pazik of Game On and Naoto Kumazawa of Poetry on the Street come to life. While you’re there, say hello to Co-op member and Architecture for Humanity’s co-director, Katherine Darnstadt!
