Take Your Shot at $10,000 with Hornitos® Tequila “A Shot Worth Taking” Elevator Pitch Event
Chicago entrepreneurs: you’ve got your big idea – now it’s time to make it a reality.
Hornitos® Tequila — the tequila that believes nothing great ever happens without taking a shot — is partnering with Chicago Ideas — the ideas platform for everyone — to give you the chance of a lifetime in a 40-floor elevator ride at 190 South LaSalle.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, Hornitos is giving aspiring entrepreneurs (age 21+) a shot at turning their big idea into reality with the “A Shot Worth Taking” Elevator Pitch Event*. In a fast battle before a panel of expert judges, selected semi-finalists will get into an actual elevator to sell their idea as fast and convincingly as they can before reaching the top floor. After a couple rounds of fierce competition, two winners will walk away with bragging rights—and $10,000 to pursue their entrepreneurial ambition.

Following the initial round of elevator pitches on Oct. 16, the top five shot-takers will present their idea to a live Chicago Ideas Week audience. After the finalists showcase their unique vision, the audience will cast their votes alongside the panel of judges to select the two entrepreneurs whose pitches are truly “A Shot Worth Taking” to be awarded a $10,000 prize.
